Cigna walking March of Dimes in honor of Ayla

REPOST:
A posting from myspace:

Every year Amy Goodpasture works with her employer, Cigna, to raise money and awareness for the March of Dimes which supports local NICU programs and premature babies. We were incredibly fortunate to have a healthy premature baby, but most are not as lucky. Ayla came home with us which was a miracle. The NICU is there for the premature babies who need help- which most do.

Cigna is very nice to be walking in honor of Ayla this year, so I'm asking my friends to help out! Come walk with us and/or make a donation to the March of Dimes. Gus, Ayla and I (and maybe even Chino) will be there and plan on walking. It will be a fun day.

I'd like to thank Amy for thinking of us!

This year's March of Dimes is even closer to my heart because we're walking in honor of my childhood and life long friend Amanda Sansone.. (aka Amanda Moran) and her new beautiful baby girl, Ayla Marie.

Those of you that known Amanda and Gus have been able to follow all the details of their pregnancy via Amanda's online blog. We're happy to honor the Sansone family this year; as we raise money, and awareness about premature birth and the NICU care these babies need.

It will be held on April 25th but fund raising efforts will begin very soon. Just trying to get an idea of who's interested in participating this year.

Anyone interested in coming out and joining the cause and funding raising efforts and better yet honoring Amanda, Gus, and baby Ayla - please let me know!

Funding raising is very simple - when registration begins in a few weeks everyone is able to create a custom march of dimes donation site, where friends and family members can jump online and donate via credit or debit card. More details to follow soon.

To date we alone have donated $21 million dollars to ensure every baby has the health care it needs, especially those born premature.
